Our story

Whilst our story has begun…our current chapter is rather busy.

Check back later in the year to find out more about our journey so far…

Welcome back to our website. Here is a bit more about our story…

It started one shift on a bog standard day,

Two crews joined for duty, fate’s subtle play.

Just another relief, a partner, a name —

Yet twelve hours later, nothing the same.

A patient mid–heart attack, bless his spark,

Still planning a family BBQ before dark.

We bonded through banter, caffeine, and care,

Two hearts beating, unaware.

Then came debates — oh, the great takeaway feud,

McDonald’s or not? Opinions imbued.

Banana skins on doors, Soreen in stash,

Flirting disguised as workplace trash.

Neither confessed, both silently hopes,

There was more than the laughter and occasional jokes.

Months drifted by, till coffee and stroll,

Showed both were missing 2% of their whole.

Holly approached with a cautious grace,

Rebekah smiled, nerves kept in place.

Each thought the other would never agree,

Yet there they stood — becoming a “we.”

Adventures soon followed — hikes and trails,

Quick to notice, love in details.

But one lesson learned, and quickly at that:

Never forget a snack in the pack.

For hanger is fierce and moods may sway,

When Rebekah’s stomach gets in the way.

So Holly prepares — a flavourful treat —

To keep their hikes both calm and sweet.

Ben Nevis bore witness, wind in her hair,

Rebekah knelt down with courage (and flair).

No hanger, no blizzard — just love at its peak,

And Juno now joins every mountain and creek.

Holly, the calm — soft yet strong,

Who sees the good where others are wrong.

Who loves without measure, steady and deep,

Who guards every promise she vows to keep.

Rebekah, the spark — the thinker, the flame,

And since the beginning a “Professor” nickname.

Precise in her pleasures — jam, rum, and wine,

Don’t forget butter, only with Lurpak she’ll dine.

Together they balance both brain and heart,

Adventure and order, a perfect art.

Cars and motorbikes, engines that roar,

Each finds thrill in the other’s core.

With comfort and chaos, through gentle care,

They’ve built something solid, ardent and rare.

For love’s not tidy — it’s laughter and mess,

It’s coffee, commitment, and occasional stress.

So here’s to the couple who love with intention,

Who treasure small moments in every dimension.

From a twelve hour shift where neither knew,

It was always fate — it was always you.
